Before and After School Program
5 years to 12 years
Our Before and After School Program is a holistic program which strives to enhance academic and social activities the children are participating in at school . We also pride ourselves in providing an environment in which children can kick back and relax before heading off to school in the morning or unwind from their day after school. Our Before and After School room has many different areas where children can find a private spot to relax, do homework or play with a friend or two. They can engage in many different activites such as arts and crafts, lego building, dess up, science discovery, playing board games, reading a book, playing a video game, watching a movie and much much more.
Children are encouraged to use their imaginations and to countinue to learn through play, something that many children in older grades are not given time to do in schools! On a typical day in our Before and After School room children are teaching each other how to dance, putting on "shows" for teachers and peers and just having fun!
When schools are closed for holiday recess and most snow days Kiddie Haven is here! We provide full day programs for children on these days. We offer structured group activites as well as time for outdoor play. Children are encouraged to use their imaginations and engage in a variety of individual and whole group activities.
Summer vacation brings with it many fun activies and special guests to our Before and After School room! Each week is themed and often times include a visit from a guest speaker or special guest. Previous summers have included magic shows, dentist visits, clown classes, Buffalo Zoo Trunk, Aquarium of Niagara Touch Tank, Sax Man Slim music and dance and much, much more! We also spend a lot of time out doors for nature walks, water play , play ground play and games on our shady side yard!
