About Kiddie Haven Day Care and Preschool
Kiddie Haven Day Care and Preschool started out as a small home daycare. After several years Kiddie Haven opened its doors in North Tonawanda in July of 1987, making 2014 our 27th year in operation! At the time of opening Kiddie Haven offered programs for children 18 months to 5 years. Since then we have expanded to offer programs for children from age 6 weeks to 12 years. Kiddie Haven operared out of the Wurlitzer Commons building until May 2014. Our current Mead Street location opened its doors on May 5,2014. Our new location gave us the opportunity to offer a newer,updated facility, an indoor active play space and a locked door security system to ensure the most safety for our children!
Our center features large, bright classrooms as well as, separate rooms for infants, and toddlers. We are also very proud to offer a three year old preschool program and a preschool, kindergarten readiness program for four year olds! In addition we offer a before and after school room onsite which includes a summer program and is along North Tonawanda City School bus routes.
Kiddie Haven Day Care and Preschool is owned and operated by Ann Katashuk and Laurie Adamczyk who combined have over 45 years experience in early childhood education!
Ann earned a bachelors degree from Buffalo State College in Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She began working at Kiddie Haven 21 years ago as a three year old preschool teacher. She then quickly moved to a director possition that she has held since. As well as being a director Ann works in the classroom daily.
Laurie earned an Associates degree from Erie County Community College and began working at Kiddie Haven 24 years ago as an infant and toddler teacher. Twelve years ago Laurie became the assistant director of Kiddie Haven and has held that position since. Laurie is also the supervisor of the Kiddie Haven Before and After School program and works in the classroom daily. Both Ann and Laurie oversee daily classroom operations and are available, onsite to drop by a classroom, talk with a parent and offer staff support!
Our center offeres certified teachers, CPR and first aid trained staff memebers as well as staff memebers trained to administer medications. Our staff is commited to staying up to date on educational trainings to offer a great learning experience for your child!
